Privacy Policy

The Cheer operators (the “Operators”) establish this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) regarding the handling of users' personal information in the application “Cheer” (the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
The Operators collect the following information in providing the Service:

2. Purposes of Use
- Providing and operating the Service (authentication, delivering and playing cheers, managing points, processing purchases)
- Sending announcements via push notifications
- Responding to inquiries and reports, and preventing misuse
- Improving the quality of the Service and fixing defects
- Responding to conduct that violates the Terms of Service
3. Provision to Third Parties
The Operators will not provide personal information to third parties without the individual's consent, except in the following cases. The use of external services described in the next section is entrustment of processing and does not constitute third-party provision.
- Where required by law
- Where necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent
- Other cases permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan
4. External Services (Processors)
The Service uses the following external services, and information is stored and processed by them to the extent necessary to provide the Service.

These providers are primarily located in the United States. The Operators appropriately supervise these processors in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan and endeavor to ensure the continuous implementation of equivalent protective measures by processors located abroad. The Operators confirm that these processors provide the same or equal protection of user data as stated in this Policy. Please refer to each provider's published privacy policy for details on their handling of personal information.
5. Security Measures
The Operators take reasonable security measures, including encryption of communications and access controls, to prevent unauthorized access to, loss of, or leakage of personal information. Audio data is access-controlled so that it can be played only by the sender and by recipients who have registered the name it is addressed to (which may include multiple Users sharing the same name).
6. Retention and Deletion
- Collected information is retained for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of use.
- You can delete your account at any time from the settings screen in the app. Upon deletion, your registered information, audio data, usage history, and other data will be deleted without undue delay (except for information that must be retained by law and inquiry records). Your name and Cheer Request text will remain visible as part of cheers received by other users; contact us if you would like them removed.
- Information necessary for compliance with legal obligations, prevention of misuse, or dispute resolution may be retained for as long as necessary.
7. Your Rights
Under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan, you may request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use of your retained personal data. Requests are accepted via the in-app contact form or by email at info@cheer-1984.com and will be handled without undue delay after identity verification. No fee is charged. The Operators' address will be provided without undue delay upon the individual's request.
8. Use by Minors
The Service is intended for persons aged 13 or older; persons under 13 may not use the Service (except in Japan, where users under 13 may use the Service with parental or guardian consent as a condition of use). Minor users must obtain the consent of a parent or guardian before using the Service.
9. Changes to This Policy
The Operators may change this Policy as necessary. Material changes will be announced in the app or by other appropriate means.

11. Governing Language
This Policy is prepared in Japanese and translated into English for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions, the Japanese version shall prevail.
